IN-PATIENT AND DAY-PATIENT TREATMENT | ||
Hospital Charges | Full Refund * up to 140 nights/ days per year | Include accommodation, nursing, theatre fees and consumables, surgical drugs and dressing, diagnostic procedures, body scans, physiotherapy, pathology and eligible prosthesis for treatment at a hospital within the level selected from the Hospital Choice List. |
Specialist Services | Full Refund* | Surgeon's, anaesthetist's and physician's fees for in-patient or day-patient treatment. |
Out of Band Benefit | £300 per night/day | When: (1) Members with Level 2 cover are treated in Level 1 hospital; (2) the hospital is not included on the Hospital Choice List; or (3) treatment is received outside the United Kingdom; this is the daily benefit payable in respect of all hospital charges as defined above. |
OUT-PATIENT TREATMENT | ||
Specialist Consultations | £500 per year | Including second opinions if required, when undertaken at the Specialist's consulting rooms. |
Diagnostic Tests | £1500 per year | Includes CT and MRI scans |
Physiotherapy/ Osteopathy/ Chiropractic | £250 per year | Treatment may be undertaken only following referral by your General Practitioner, and administered by a practitioner whose name appears of the appropriate register. |
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS | ||
Radiotherapy/Chemotherapy | £15,000 | For specialist and or/hospital charges (when undertaken within your chosen level). |
Home Nursing | £25 per day up to 30 days per year | Payable for medical as opposed to domestic reasons and must be undertaken under the supervision of the attending Specialist. |
Private Ambulance | £200 per year | Payable towards the cost of private road ambulance to, from or between hospitals. The use of the ambulance must be medically essential and required in connection with eligible in-patient or day-patient treatment. |
Minor Surgical Procedures | £500 per year | When undertaken at the Specialist's consulting rooms. |
Hospital Cash Benefit | £100 per night up to £2,000 p.a. | Paid for in-patient treatment when the patient is admitted to an NHS hospital bed and no fees for treatment are incurred. Any excess will be waived in respect of payment of this benefit. |
Hospice donation | £250 per year | Paid as a donation to the hospice (irrespective of length of stay) if the patient required admission for care. |
Cover Abroad | £10,000 per year | Benefit is available when temporarily abroad (excluding USA/Bahamas) on holiday or business trips. Your usual entitlement to benefit applies but hospital charges are restricted to the Out of Band Benefit limit. |
Please Note: Even when expressed as a full refund, all costs must be necessarily incurred and benefit will be paid in accordance with the reasonable and customary fees for the treatment received. |
